GRIEF AND TRAUMA SPECIALIST IN NÎMES
A safe space to ease your pain.

Sophia Tedman
Trauma and Grief Therapist in Nîmes
My practice comes from a profound desire to accompany others through their suffering.
A Modern, Multidisciplinary Approach
My therapeutic method combines Brainspotting—a cutting-edge technique particularly effective for treating trauma—with NLP, psychoanalysis, and other approaches within a humanistic framework that addresses each situation holistically and respects each client’s innate dignity.
You are at the center of the therapeutic process, and I use different techniques based on your unique needs and situation. My goal is to accompany you and give you the tools you need to ease your suffering as quickly as your unique timeline allows.
Every technique I use has been tested and proven effective, not only in my clinical practice but also in my own personal work, which enables me to fully understand their effects and limitations. Additionally, I continue my training and education, and attend weekly supervision to ensure the quality of my care.
My Office: A Space of Healing
At the heart of my practice is the concept of “holding space”—a sanctuary where you can just be, exactly as you are, and feel what you need to feel in the present moment.
My approach combines neuroscience with deep respect for the spiritual dimension of therapeutic work. My office is as much a tool as my training: what matters is creating a containing space where you can safely welcome and transform your pain.
My Personal and Professional Journey
My journey started with a deep desire to understand human psychology and was shaped by my own life experiences. It was through working on my own healing process and accompanying my loved ones through theirs that I discovered this passion.
My pastoral calling deeply influences my entire approach to therapy. I see therapy not merely as a clinical intervention, but as spiritual work that honors each person in their entirety.
These personal and clinical experiences have given me a deep understanding of trauma and grief, as well as the challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and those living with disabilities.
My Philosophy and Professional Ethics
My therapeutic practice is built on a few core principles: deep respect for every person’s inherent dignity, combining scientific knowledge with intuitive wisdom, and my firm belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is what creates the most powerful healing.
I respect your autonomy and boundaries, and I’m committed to ongoing education and professional supervision.
I work to stay open-minded and humble about how complex the healing process can be, while also having the courage to address moral injury when I see it. Helping ease people’s suffering isn’t just my job—it’s my life’s mission. My training and authentic self are at your service to support you in your journey.
