GRIEF AND TRAUMA SPECIALIST IN NÎMES
A safe space to ease your pain.
About my work
Through my clinical practice and my own personal experience and journey, I’ve come to realise that a single approach isn’t enough to effectively treat trauma and grief. Every person is different, and while it’s possible to find some common ground, a multidisciplinary approach is necessary to be truly effective.
Here are my areas of expertise, though I want to emphasize that what matters most to me is genuine human connection, compassion, and love for my neighbour. This list isn’t comprehensive either: I’m constantly learning, passionate about human psychology and neuroscience, and committed to ongoing training and weekly supervision.
Brainspotting
“Where you look affects how you feel”
Brainspotting is a powerful neurobiological tool discovered in 2003 by David Grand, an American psychoanalyst and EMDR practitioner. This cutting-edge therapy allows me to access your blocked memories and emotions directly so I can treat them effectively. By identifying specific spots in your visual field that are linked to these memories, I can guide you into a state of deep connection with your subcortical brain, where they’re stored.
My office is a safe space where you can experience your emotions securely. When we use this tool, I pay close attention to your emotional “window of tolerance”, to avoid pushing you beyond your comfort zone, paying attention to your own personal healing timeline.
Brainspotting is recognized as one of the most effective therapies for trauma treatment. As David Grand puts it, it’s “where East meets West” – bringing together Western neurobiological science and mind-body unity wisdom from Eastern philosophies. Clinical research shows its superior effectiveness when it comes to transforming trauma and releasing stored emotions, allowing your nervous system to naturally heal itself.
NLP
“The map is not th territory”
Neuro-Linguistic Programming was developed in the 1970s by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, who realised that our subjective experience can be broken down into sensory sub-modalities, and that changing these elements directly changes how we feel and behave. This approach helps us transform our “map of the world” – our unique way of seeing and understanding reality – freeing us from psychological limitations.
In my practice, I work to understand how you experience reality so I can spot what might be holding you back. Together, we then use specific techniques like anchoring, dissociation, or belief change to shift these limiting patterns and help you break free of them.
NLP is particularly powerful because it lets you quickly restructure negative experiences and build new mental resources, giving you back control over your life.
Psychoanalysis
“The unconscious mind expresses itself in the infinitive”
Founded by Sigmund Freud at the end of the 19th century and enriched by thinkers like Jung and Lacan, psychoanalysis revolutionized our understanding of the human mind. Though old-fashioned and controversial, it remains an invaluable tool for its deeply humanistic approach to human suffering. At its heart is deep listening that honors the complexity of each person and their unique story.
In my practice, I focus above all on creating a containing space where your words are truly heard, allowing you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and memories freely without fear of judgment.
The therapeutic encounter is, as Jung said, “the meeting of two unconscious minds” – a space where what was previously inaccessible can emerge. This quality of shared presence allows for reconciliation with the different facets of your being. Beyond the technique itself, it’s the relational dimension that makes the psychoanalytic approach so valuable in the journey toward a more authentic life.
Transactional Analysis
“We are born princes and the civilizing process makes us frogs”
Developed by Eric Berne in the 1950s, Transactional Analysis provides a clear framework for understanding human interactions and relationship patterns. This approach introduced concepts that have become classics, like ego states (Parent, Adult, Child) and the analysis of “psychological games,” particularly the Karpman triangle (Persecutor, Victim, Rescuer).
This gives me another lens through which to understand your situation and can help you identify and break free of repetitive patterns that might be holding you back.
Strategic Intervention
“Your past doesn’t define your future”
Developed by Tony Robbins and Cloé Madanes, Strategic Intervention draws from Viktor Frankl’s logotherapy and is based on the concept of six fundamental human needs: certainty, variety, significance, connection, growth, and contribution.
Together, we can identify which of your needs are most important to you and how you’re currently trying to meet them. I’m particularily interested in understanding what makes you prioritize certain needs over others, because exploring this reveals the deeper mechanisms that influence your behavior.
We’ll also work on meeting your needs in healthier ways, and sometimes even look at reordering their priority, for a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Toxic Relationships
“It’s manipulation that makes you doubt your reality”
Based on Christel Petitcollin’s work, I help people who are trapped in abusive relationships to break free. These traumatic situations need specialized understanding and care.
The first step is recognising manipulation techniques that make you question your perception of reality and your self-worth. This awareness is crucial to escaping a manipulator’s hold.
You’ll also need to (re)learn self-respect, restore your personal boundaries, and rebuild your self-confidence, so you can have healthier relationships.
Neurodiversity
“Neurodiversity isn’t a deficit. It’s a difference”
I’m particularly aware of what neurodivergent people experience and the unique challenges of living in a world designed for neurotypical people.
People with autism, ADHD, high intellectual potential, or other neurodevelopmental differences are often misunderstood, rejected, and feel like they don’t fit in. This creates deep pain and profound feelings of isolation and loneliness.
My approach recognizes and respects your unique cognitive functioning. I offer you a space where your neurodivergence is understood – not as something that needs fixing, but as a valuable part of who you are – while also addressing any specific trauma and grief that may come with it.
LGBTQ+ SAFE Space
“Accept no one’s definition of your life, define yourself”
My practice is a safe space where your LGBTQ+ identity is respected and where your unique challenges are understood.
LGBTQ+ people often face rejection and discrimination that can be deeply hurtful and traumatic. Social pressure, discovering and accepting your identity, coming out, or transitioning – these are emotionally intense and challenging journeys.
I offer you an environment where you can explore who you are freely, without judgment. Your identity isn’t something to fix, but an essential part of yourself to honor and embrace fully in your life.
Judgment-Free Space
“Love thy neighbor as thyself”
At the heart of my practice is my pastoral calling – being deeply respectful and compassionate towards every aspect of my fellow humans, including spiritually. My office is a sanctuary of confidentiality, where any emotion, thought, or impulse can be shared freely, without fear of judgment.
I’ve supported people through incredibly varied and complex situations. This has taught me that no topic is too difficult or shameful to discuss in my office. Whatever your story or inner struggles – on spirituality, sexuality, violence, addictions, intrusive thoughts, or secret impulses – you’ll find genuine listening here, without taboos or hang-ups…
I offer you a space where you can be yourself – shadows and light alike. Freedom of expression is the foundation of any meaningful therapeutic work. I’m here to support you with compassion and humor, honoring who you are beyond your actions or thoughts.
Suffering is part of the human experience, but it doesn’t have to define your entire life! Whatever you’re going through today, another path is possible. With these tools, I’m here to support you with compassion, respecting your unique pace and needs, as we work toward your goals and healing.
